Ivan Shterev is the Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Pollentia, where he leads all hardware engineering, system architecture, and powertrain development across the company’s electric marine platforms. With over a decade of experience in electrical and systems engineering, Ivan plays a central role in shaping Pollentia’s technical direction and ensuring every vessel meets the highest standards of performance, safety, and energy efficiency.
From propulsion architecture to full-stack power management systems, Ivan is the architect behind Pollentia’s electric DNA. He is responsible for developing the company’s modular energy platforms, propulsion layouts, and battery optimization strategies—enabling smarter, more scalable boats from leisure models to defense-grade vessels.
Ivan brings a methodical and hands-on approach to technical leadership. He works closely with Pollentia’s engineering team, global vendors, and R&D partners to execute the company’s most complex design goals—while staying grounded in first principles and real-world testing.
Whether it’s prototyping a new drivetrain or solving thermal challenges in a hybrid superstructure, Ivan’s focus is on engineering excellence that scales. His work powers every major advancement at Pollentia, from the Ventus First Gen to upcoming commercial and defense models.
“In this industry, good design is about more than hitting performance marks. It’s about making something that works just as well five years from now as it did the day it launched. That’s what I build for.”
