Leads software and firmware engineering across the platform, from the code that talks directly to a vessel's machinery to the onboard systems that reason over its data. An engineer with over 25 years across embedded systems, electronics, and high-performance computing, he works at every level of the stack, from startup code, drivers, and bare-metal firmware across a range of RTOSs to GPU parallel processing and algorithm optimization. He has architected multi-controller embedded systems as a Senior Embedded Software Architect at Robert Bosch, worked on automotive software platforms, multi-core bring-up, and in-vehicle networks at Vector Informatik, and owned a precision laboratory instrument end to end at BIOCOMP Instruments, from schematics and firmware through production-line provisioning. His products have always shipped into conditions that punish shortcuts: outdoor hardware exposed to weather and vibration, safety-critical control, and instruments pushed well beyond their rated environments. At Pollentia, Ramin works on both the software and the firmware, from the onboard layer that gathers and checks vessel data to the platform software above it, and he sets the engineering standard for everything built on top.
