Pollentia Joins Sustainable Innovation Council at UC Berkeley to Shape the Future of Clean Marine Mobility

Pollentia at UC Berkeley’s Sustainable Innovation Council

April 15, 2024

Earlier this month, our Founder and CEO, Tyler Temple, had the honor of speaking at UC Berkeley’s Sustainable Innovation Council, where he joined a curated group of founders, investors, and leaders shaping the future of climate and mobility innovation.

Pollentia was one of the only marine-focused companies invited to participate — a moment that affirmed how vital the maritime sector is to the broader clean tech movement. Tyler shared our journey: from his time in the Navy working inside nuclear control rooms, to founding a company building intelligent, electric vessels designed to outperform traditional boats in speed, efficiency, and sustainability.

The event brought together some of the top minds in the space — including unicorn founders, deep-tech VCs, and sustainability policy leaders. The discussions were direct, thoughtful, and full of urgency. For us, it was more than just a speaking slot. It was a chance to stand alongside others who are not just talking about change, but building it.

We're grateful to the Council Chairwoman and the UC Berkeley community for the opportunity to share our work and to be part of a conversation that pushes the boundaries of what's possible.

Pollentia is growing. The waters are shifting. And we’re proud to be navigating this next chapter with all of you.
