Pollentia Welcomes Carl Grin as Board Advisor to Support Technology Scale and Canadian Expansion

Pollentia is pleased to welcome Carl Grin as a Board Advisor, reinforcing the company’s leadership as it enters its next phase of technology development, systems expansion, and international growth.

Carl brings over a decade of experience across operations, finance, and venture-backed growth, with a career spanning consulting, large-scale organizational leadership, and early-stage investment. As a Founding Partner at Dragonfruit Ventures, Carl works closely with founders and operators to scale complex products, structure capital, and build durable companies. His background as an operator allows him to bridge strategy with execution, ensuring growth is supported by disciplined systems rather than short-term momentum.

In addition to his venture work, Carl spent nearly a decade in senior leadership roles at Winning Techniques, serving as both Director of Finance and Director of Operations. During this time, he led financial planning, regulatory compliance, workforce scaling, and capital strategy, helping secure over $2 million in institutional funding while managing teams of up to 100 employees. He also oversaw the implementation of CRM systems, operational frameworks, and diversified revenue models that enabled sustained growth and operational resilience. His work restructuring the organization during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in continued operations and profitability at a time when many comparable organizations were forced to shut down, with several of those frameworks later adopted as industry standards.

For Pollentia, Winning Techniques will serve as a potential platform hub in Canada, supporting the deployment, scaling, and refinement of Pollentia’s AI marine technology. This hub provides local execution capacity and real-world feedback loops critical for developing, testing, and expanding intelligent marine systems in active environments.

As a Board Advisor, Carl will focus on scaling Pollentia’s technology platform, supporting the development of additional systems across intelligence, diagnostics, and operational tooling, while also advising on financial planning, capital efficiency, and long-term growth strategy. Through his role at Dragonfruit Ventures, Carl will further support Pollentia’s fundraising efforts and strategic partnerships by connecting the company with aligned investors, operators, and ecosystem partners across North America and beyond.

Carl’s combined experience in venture capital, operational leadership, and systems-based growth strengthens Pollentia’s ability to scale responsibly. His involvement ensures that as Pollentia expands its technology and market footprint, the company continues to build with discipline, financial clarity, and execution rigor.

Pollentia looks forward to working closely with Carl as it advances the next generation of intelligent marine systems and expands its presence across Canada and global markets.
